Young children starting the year well

This morning READ for Life trainer Nighty was blown away when she saw K1 children at Froebel Nursery and Primary School using age-appropriate resources and having so much fun in their phonics lesson!

“I was so impressed because I couldn’t believe these children would be doing these types of activities at the beginning of the year!”

Children were making the sound ‘m’ with bottle tops, tracing the letter on a slate and drawing the sound in the sand.
The K1 teacher had attended READ for Life’s phonics training last year and was quick to implement these practical lesson ideas with children right from the beginning of 2023. We can’t wait to see where these children will be by the end of the year!
